DAS Companies, Inc. strengthens partnerships at 2016 Travel Center ShowDAS Companies, Inc., a full-service marketing and supply chain portfolio company, thanks its dealer and vendor partners for a record-breaking 2016 Travel Center Show! The DAS Travel Center show, invitation-only event, took place May 11-12 at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square/Lancaster County Convention Center in downtown Lancaster, Pennsylvania. On the floor were over 160 brands and 400 plus attendees representing 4,000 store fronts who participated in prescribed activities focused on building relationships and expanding partnerships. Industry experts led educational seminars on relevant topics, attendees voted on innovative NEW products, 2,000 plus show-only deals were available and most importantly everyone had fun. “The Travel Center show provides an environment ideal for strengthening business relationships and partnerships,” says Charles White, Vice President, Brands and Marketing for DAS Companies, Inc. “Each year we focus on improving the show experience for our customers and supplier partners and we will continue to build on previous success.” Along the path to show registration, was the “New Product Gallery” with product submissions from show sponsors and other industry-leading brands. Customers received voting chips in their registration packets that they could utilize to vote on new products. Over 500 votes were tallied. Upon entrance, attendees were pleasantly overwhelmed with a centrally located RoadPro® Family of Brands experience and coordinating booths which expanded into leading vendor partner areas representing the DAS global brands portfolio. Rounding out the show floor highlights was an 800 square foot Merchandising Solutions Pavilion, simulating a true store environment that featured turn-key solutions to attract, engage, inform and convert shoppers. Additionally, customers took advantage of the opportunity to gain rich knowledge by participating in show seminars. The seminar schedule kicked off with an interactive “Merchandising Makeover” panel discussion with executives from Sapp Bros., Love’s Travel Stops, Gateway Travel Plaza (TA) and Lancaster Travel Plaza (AMBEST). Next in the line-up was “Professional drivers tell all”, featuring members of the RoadPro® Professional Driver Council and “Building a productive profitable partnership”. NATSO closed the educational portion of the show with “Best practices for sales success”. After a busy first day customers enjoyed dinner, an address from company founder David Abel, appearance and songs from Frank Sinatra, and an after dinner game room with live band. On the show floor and at seminars, customers collected “fun bucks” that could be used to bid on a plethora of items at a show closing event complete with a silent and live auction, music, food and beverages. “What a great opportunity to have fun, thank our longtime partners, and build a more productive tomorrow,” added Steve Birli, Vice President of Travel Centers at DAS Companies, Inc.
